As a chef, I really appreciate and identify with the food analogy. It has helped me understand the cultures and people that I work with and serve. I have trained in several different systems or a few decades. I had the great honor to meet, train, and spend a day with Mr. Inosanto back in the late 70`s. His time and attention were priceless to me, not just because of his knowledge, skills and training, but his graciousness as a human being. If you want to learn about martial arts you will find that in him, If you want to learn about life.... there is no one better in my opinion.

Don’t know if it’s just me, but it seems in all of JJM’s free rolls, he’s willing to start bottom in any position - usually starting prone on his back, giving up side control regardless of opponent. And ending up submitting them more often than not!

I got my can opened for the first time as a purple belt. Was such a basic but underutilized move that I've never thought about defending it. Sat in my car for 15 minutes watching videos about it before I felt good enough to drive home.

Been doin jits for many many years and never been able to nail this armbar clean from closed guard. Went down the rabbit hole today to find some answers. Glad to see that other high level guys also struggle with some of the fundamentals as well.

Im watching this because i have severe arthritis in one hand making my 3 middle fingers mostly useless for collar chokes. How does he grip with his right hand? (He uses it in one of the last 2)
